On 22-23 October Saint Petersburg hosted the All-Russian Forum “Strategic Planning in the Regions and Cities of Russia” (Forum Strategov).

The Forum is held annually since 2002 and is aimed at sharing best practices and discussing actual results of strategic planning in the industrial and economic development of Russia.

This year, the AGR project was presented at the Forum as one of the high-tech national IT systems that contribute to the implementation of the Mining Strategy of the Russian Federation up to 2030. In particular, the AGR software is intended to gather and manage primary geological data in digital format, which facilitates introduction of the “Digital Mine” concept. Over the last 9 years, the AGR system has been deployed in more than 90 mining projects.

The AGR project is an important infrastructural element, both with regards to a single company and the Russian mining industry in general. It ensures that primary geological data is exchanged effectively and the mineral resources database of the country is kept up-to-date and consistent.
